Confusions of an Indian Teenager - II

"If life were predictable it would cease to be life,
 and be without flavour!"
                                                               - Anonymous

Three months isn't a long time yet it might feel so. That's how long this blog needed research and observation. And finally, I'm done! To all our new readers I hope you went through the first part of "Confusions," if not then please do. So, let us all buckle our seat belts as this is going to be a long and a bumpy ride.
To begin I first thank all the volunteers who were brave enough to share their fears and confusions with us. In order to maintain their anonymity, I won’t be revealing their names but just use their questions and suggestions. Just to put it out there as this is going to be a long blog, I’ll be expressing my views very briefly. So, I hope it’ll be good enough for all of you.
Let’s begin then!!!

“Whether to fall in love or not. If yes, will it last?”

To begin, Love is a wonderful thing yet deadly. Falling in love can never be anticipated; it just happens. Love is never meant to be permanent, cause if it is then it would affect the very cosmos itself. But that doesn’t mean that there is no true love. Forever afters still exist. Nowadays love has turned into lust, there used to be times when people used to love from one corner of the earth to the other. So, here’s my suggestion for you is give it some time you’ll find your perfect half. Until then all you can do is wait.

“Why are parents always on our case?”

There are a number of reasons for this issue. When our parents were young, going through the same phase as us they had a wonderful society and environment where there was no usage of drugs, liquor, tobaccos etc., hence making it easy for them to decide and survive. All they had to do was go to school, come home, eat, homework, play and such. But nowadays the case isn’t the same. Things change and so do people. Our society has evolved in such a way that just playing outside isn’t safe anymore. They are just worried about us nothing more nothing less. The simplest answer to your question is love. Imagine how you would be reacting to your child in the future. Always remember whatever your parents do, it’s not to pull you down but rather to help you climb higher.

“Why are boys and girls treated differently? We are all the same age.”

Boys and girl are nowadays the biggest of talks between people. You are not treated differently; you are just perceived differently. But remember this, no one is judging anyone. Well this is a tough one, but I like a good challenge, so here goes nothing and this is just my point of view. Even though you people are of the same age, each of you are in a state of growth where you are growing up to become a young man or women. Although you people (boys and girls) have a good understanding between yourselves, this is the age where you’ll be having mixed feelings. You will be emotionally unstable and be requiring help. To make it easier for you, you all are treated accordingly. This is just a phase, like you mentioned… it’ll be over before you even realize. So, enjoy these wonderful years.

“How to be positive when everything around you are negative?”

A great question bud. This is a wonderful topic and I can just go on and on but as I mentioned earlier I must be brief. But I assure you there will be a blog on this. So, how to be positive when things around you are negative…… it’s simple as addition. Just HOPE! Yes, you read correct. Positive and negative are just two sides from the same coin. Sometimes positive is good and sometimes it’s bad. Sometimes negative is good and sometimes it’s bad. Its just how you take it. You see with a positive attitude then it would be a plus for you, you see with a negative attitude then it would be a minus. So, to answer your question, always smile and be positive you’ll notice things to change.

Well this is going longer than I expected. I think it is time to stop for now and I assure you this would be the last stopping for this topic. Keep posted for the next update and don't forget to like, share and comment your thoughts.

Confusions of an Indian Teenager- I

"You cannot escape the responsibilities of tomorrow by evading it today!"
- Abraham Thomas Lincoln

We humans are naive in so many ways! Your mind can be your best of friends as well as your worst of enemies. Well obviously this blog isn't about the human brain... then what is it about: Life choices? Career? Self realization? Doubts?

Before you start your wonderful tour through my words let me just put it out there again to all who have a problem with my writing style, this is just my opinion and has nothing to do with whatever you dream! Just one more thing before we start, I'd like to thank all of those for suggesting your troubles and confusions. Now that all the formalities are over, lets begin with a short yet wonderful story.

THE GREAT HOUDINI: The Master Magician.
Starting his career in the early 1890's, our hero knew little success. Eventually he became famous through his acts of breaking out of cells. This is one such incident. Once, the great Houdini challenged the prisons to lock him in a cell with his street clothes on and he would escape it in an hour. One of the prison accepted the challenge and locked Houdini in the cell behind metal doors. Houdini removed a tiny piece of metal hidden cleverly inside his belt. For thirty minutes our great hero tried confidently to open the locks. By the time it was fifty minutes Harry started to sweat and his confidence started to slip away. After trying for two hours, Houdini in defeat collapsed at the door which then opened. the reason why it opened was the door was never locked. But the reality in which our hero thought that the door was locked by the best locksmith of that time was just his mind believing it.
You might all be wondering why I'm telling you this story. We might think our life is full of struggles, we might think that we are alone, we might believe this is what we are. But is it?
All our answers lie before us, we just don't see them because we believe what our mind wants us to believe. A good friend of mine once said and I quote "Learn to deceive your mind, once you do you'll soar high!"

Harry Houdini

P.S. As this is a huge topic I've decided to write it into two parts. Stay tuned for more and do follow my blog!!!

KARMA - The cycle of Rebirth

"You will never understand the damage you did until someone else does the same to you, that's why I'm here." -Karma

A close friend of mine asked me to write about karma a few days back and just like any person would have said I said no too and the reason is writing about karma itself is like pulling the tail of a ferocious lion in its own den, yet she convinced me saying; "You're a writer, be creative!"
So here I am, trying my best to write about karma. Took me a long time just to figure how to begin, cause i wanted this to be perfect in every way. Now the things I write is only my way of seeing karma, others might have other perspectives, and I respect them just the way you respect mine.
Now that everything is on the table, lets begin the adventure. To those who have a faint heart, put on your seat belts!

Stories of a lifetime say,
Turning a sway around the way,
Hanging around through an edge,
Nothing left than the grudge.

All around the world, through each and every religion, culture, country and ethnicity "KARMA" is often referred to as "The Cycle of Rebirth." When dug deep I came to know that our ancestors coined the term karma when there was no logical explanation to the events that occurred in our Universe. Some called it as the Enlightenment, some called it as the Power and the Will of God and some said it was Science. Some even called it as Demented, Necromancy or Magic. The Time, The Place, The People, the Past, the Present and the Future are all just the fragments of karma. Each and Every moment in this universe is affected and connected by Karma. I'm not sure how many of you people have heard about the butterfly effect, but to those who haven't let me explain it briefly. "The butterfly effect states that when there is a small and a minute change in the present; that change can result in a larger difference in the near future." Many of you by now might have a question popping in your minds, what does this have to do with karma?
Well my friends, to answer your question everything is related to karma. There are lots and lots of theories trying to prove this. If your not yet convinced you all might have heard about how History and Time repeats itself. If you google about this you'll find a lot of examples.

Droplets of time,
Drumming over mime,
Lost among the fall,
Through an icy draped shawl.

Karma connects the dots of the past reacting in the present by preserving the future. Through all times, the universe finds a way to connect the people and right the wrong in order to maintain the balance of nature. There is only one force much powerful than karma itself and if your wondering what that might be, its love. When two souls truly connect to each other there is no way they can be split. Be it now or then; they have the power to convince karma to help them attain their goals and until that has happened their auras would cause havoc and imbalance to the universe. When karma starts to mend a mistake, the whole universe stands by its side. When this happens one might find signs by mother nature herself such as the crashing of waves, lightning storms, blazing fires, earthquakes, floods etc. Like I said earlier, to some this might be a fact and to some this might just be some crap.

Every heartbeat to itself,
Stringing a new moment in life,
Ticking through time nevertheless,
The cycle of birth blazing afresh.

Perspectives may vary from person to person, this is just mine. In short the Universe has different ways to get back for what has happened in the past. Its better we leave it as such or else the very fabric of nature will be in chaos!

Until next time!!!
